What's the difference between low, mid and high-cost AT?
Low-cost AT (under roughly $1,500) can often be purchased directly with Core Supports funding. Mid and high-cost items — like custom wheelchairs or ceiling hoists — need an assessment and formal quote.
Do I need an occupational therapist for every item?
Not always — simple, lower-cost items often don't require formal assessment, but anything complex or high-cost generally does.
How long does the home modification process take?
Simple modifications move quickly once quoted and approved; larger structural changes can take several weeks to a few months.
